Jane Kelso, former professional retriever trainer started Mountain Run Kennel as a training facility in 1980 and gradually built it into a full service boarding kennel.
Acclaimed by PBS television as a "5 Star Resort for Dogs and Cats," Mountain Run Kennel is where four-legged guests enjoy a retreat in the country while their owners take a weekend jaunt or an extended vacation. Established in 1980 by Jane Kelso and located on 35 acres in the rolling Virginia Piedmont, Mountain Run Kennel is an easy drive from Washington, D.C., Charlottesville or Fredericksburg.
