Boarding school for pets
Because at Mountain Run we believe a pet should be a responsible member of the family, we emphasize basic obedience training for all dogs. We offer individual lessons, training while boarding and small group classes. We specialize in solving behavioral problems, working with you to bring out your dog's full potential as a companion and friend.
- Obedience camp - An intensive three-week program that includes an initial assessment, comprehensive obedience training, and sessions with the owner.
- Obedience Brush Up - Maintains current level of competence, focusing on exercises that need the most practice.
- Private Obedience Lesson - A concentrated lesson for you and your dog, addressing specific questions and individual concerns.
For the last five years our head trainer has been Jack Volhard. Jack has trained dogs of all sizes and ages for over 30 years. His reward-based approach to training and his reliance on positive reinforcement produces happy and reliable well-trained dogs. He conducts training seminars and training camps, and has written a number of dog training books, including the popular "Dog Training for Dummies."
